The method used in this research is a qualitative method using data collection techniques in the form of participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation which aims to obtain comprehensive results regarding the conditions that actually occur in the field regarding the impact of the Maranggap tradition on the mental health of young mothers. The results of this study indicate that young mothers experience mental health problems caused by the Maranggap tradition which is triggered by changes in the values and functions of Maranggap activities. The values and functions of the Maranggap tradition in Tomok Main Village are no longer in accordance with the actual values and functions, which has led young mothers in Tomok Main Village to consider Maranggap as a tradition that has a bad impact on their mental health.
