    Abstract
Polyporales fungi produce active compounds and secondary metabolites that have a variety of properties, such as beta glucan. Beta glucan is part of the cell walls of bacteria, plants, algae, cereals and fungi. Beta glucan has benefits as an immunodulator and stimulates the immune system. The purpose of this research is to collect Polyporales fungi specimens in Batu Katak Forest as beta glucan extraction material and identify the beta glucan content of Polyporales fungi. This research starts from the collection of Polyporales fungi in the Batu Katak Forest, followed by the drying process and preparation of simplisia and alkaline extraction and ethanol extraction. The identification of beta glucan was done using FTIR spectrophotometer. This study successfully collected 9 species of Polyporales fungi, Panus neostrigosus, Rigidoporus lineatus, Cerioporus leptocephalus, Ganoderma applanatum, Trametes pubescens, Ganoderma lucidum, Pycnoporus cinnabarinus, Trametes versicolor, Earliella scabrosa. There are 6 species that can proceed to the extraction phase due to having a dry weight of 100 g, namely E. scabrosa, R. lienatus, T. pubescens, G. applanatum, and T. versicolor. Alkaline extraction results higher yields than ethanol extraction. Chemical profile using FTIR show that both the alkaline extract and the ethanol extract of Polyporales fungi and barley have functional groups that constitute the structure of glucose, including the (-OH) group in the wavenumber range of 3550- 3850 cm1 , the (-CH) group in the wavenumber range of 1340-1470 cm1 , and the (- O) group in the wavenumber range of 1050-1300 cm1 . Analysis of beta glucan compounds in alkaline extracts showed that E. scabrosa contained beta 1,3 glucan, P. neostrigosus contained beta 1,6 glucan, R. lineatus, T. pubescens, T. versicolor contained beta 1,3 glucan which was branched with beta 1,6 glucan while in ethanol extracts all extracted samples did not show any beta glucan compounds. The conclusion of this study obtained 9 types of Polyporales fungi and alkaline extracts of Trametes versicolor, Rigidoporus lineatus, Trametes pubescens contain beta 1,3 glucan branched with beta 1,6 glucan Eearliella scabrosa contains beta 1,3 glucan and Panus neostrigosus contains beta 1,6 glucan.
