dc.description.abstractThis study is based on a survey conducted by PwC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) Indonesia on the banking industry in Indonesia, indicating turnover trends, where employees in the banking industry frequently change companies. Based on this survey, PT. Bank Sumut Headquarters in Medan is essential to predict how much the factors of LMX (leader-member exchange) and job stress influence turnover intention. The research aims to analyze how LMX (leader-member exchange) and job stress influence turnover intention among employees of PT. Bank Sumut Headquarters in Medan, specifically in the HR Division. The influence of LMX and job stress will be analyzed both partially and simultaneously on employee turnover intention. This quantitative research involves employees of PT. Bank Sumut Headquarters in Medan, HR Division, with a sample size of 31 respondents selected using non-probability sampling with a saturation sampling approach. Data collection is done through questionnaires measured using Likert scales. Analysis methods include instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using MS Excel and SPSS version 25. The results indicate that the LMX variable has a negative impact on increasing turnover intention, while job stress does not affect turnover intention. Both LMX and job stress jointly explain the variation in the dependent variable of turnover intention. Based on the Adjusted R Square value, it is known that the LMX and job stress variables contribute 20.6% to employee turnover intention, while the remaining 79.4% is influenced by factors beyond the scope of this study.en_US
