Analisis Kebutuhan Air Irigasi Daerah Irigasi Paya Mabar Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi

Abstract

Irrigation is very necessary in an effort to meet water needs in agricultural areas. Irrigation is activities related to efforts to obtain water for rice fields, plantation fields and other agricultural businesses. It is important to know the need for irrigation water because it is an important stage in planning and managing an irrigation system. This research aims to calculate the amount of irrigation water needed in the Paya Mabar Irrigation Area and find out the cropping pattern system that can be applied in the Paya Mabar Irrigation Area. In this research, data analysis was carried out using secondary data. From the data obtained, analysis is then carried out to obtain effective rainfall values and evaportranspiration values so that irrigation water requirements at the intake gate are obtained. In this research, the smallest value of maximum water requirement at the intake gate was found in alternative planting pattern VI, namely 2.02 lt/sec/ha. So the planting pattern that can be applied in the Paya Mabar Irrigation Area is the VI planting pattern where the first planting period begins in March, Period II, the second planting period begins in July, Period II and the third planting period begins in November, Period II.
