dc.description.abstract | Hexamine is a heterocyclic organic compound with the formula (CH2)6N4.
Hexamine is white crystalline and is a highly soluble compound in water and a
polar solvent organic solvent. Hexamine has a structure similar to adamatane. It is
useful in the synthesis of other chemical compounds, e.g. plastics,
pharmaceuticals, rubber addictions.
Formaldehyde is a very important compound in the chemical industry and
has an important role in manufacturing in water about 37%. Formaldehyde is a
mixture of saturated solution of formaldehyde, methanol and water in a ratio of
37%; 15%; 48%.
Ammonia is a sharp, colorless gas composed of 1 elemental nitrogen and
three elemental hydrogens. Ammonia is an important compound and is widely used
as a raw material in the chemical and agricultural industries. Ammonia is a raw
material in the manufacture of fertilizers, soda ash, nitric acid, nylon, rubber
dippers, explosives, fibers and plastics.
The pre-designed hexamine manufacturing plant is planned to produce
with a capacity of 62,000 tons / year and operate for 330 days a year. In the predesign
of the plant making hexamine with formaldehyde and ammonia raw
materials through a process, namely the leonard process .
The factory location is planned to be established in the Sei Selincah area of
Kalidoni District. Palembang. The required land area is 13,268 m2. Results of predesign
economic analysis of hexamine manufacturing plant from formaldehyde and
ammonia raw materials
- Investment Capital = Rp. 984.297.134.640
- Production Cost per Year = Rp. 1.598.536.324.480
- Total Product Sales per Year = Rp. 1.971.243.367.632
- Net Profit per Year = Rp. 259.645.455.556
- Profit Margin (PM) = 13,17%
- Break Even Point (BEP) = 28,66%
- Return On Investment (ROI) = 26,38%
- Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 37,87% From the analysis of economic aspects, it can be concluded that the Hexamine Making plant from Formaldehyde and Ammonia with the Leonard Process with a capacity of 62,000 tons / year is feasible to be established. | en_US |
