dc.description.abstract | The plant is designed to produce sodium bicarbonate from sodium carbonate and carbon dioxide with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The main process in this plant plan consists of three stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, the reaction stage, and the product separation and purification stage.
The company in this thesis is planned in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) using a line and staff organizational structure. The number of workers needed to run the factory is 154 people. The location of the plant is planned to be in the JIIPE (Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate) industrial area Gresik, East Java with a total land area of 16,776.2 m2. The water requirement for this plant is planned to be obtained from the river with a total water requirement of 35068.79 kg/hour.
The results of the economic analysis of this thesis are as follows:
1. Total investment capital = Rp 1.237.363.772.394
2. Production cost (per year) = Rp 246.209.343.111
3. Sales proceeds (per year) = Rp 600.000.000.000
4. Net profit (per year) = Rp 235.270.786.831
5. Profit margin (PM) = 56,01%
6. Break Even Point (BEP) = 20,47%
7. Return of Invesment (ROI) = 34%
8. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3 years
9. Return on Network (RON) = 56%
10. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 84,6%
Based on the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the sodium bicarbonate manufacturing plant from sodium carbonate and carbon dioxide with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year is feasible. | en_US |
