dc.description.abstract | Phosphoric acid is an important chemical obtained by reacting phosphate rock with sulfuric acid through various processes and reactions. The main objective of this plant design is to assess the feasibility of establishing the plant. The pre-designed plant for the production of phosphoric acid from phosphate rock and sulfuric acid through a wet process with a short tube vertical evaporator purification unit has a production capacity of 30.000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The main process in this pre-designed plant consists of four stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, reaction stage, purification stage, and packaging and storage stage. This phosphoric acid production plant from phosphate rock and sulfuric acid is planned to be established in the Karang Pilang industrial area, Surabaya, East Java Indonesia with a land area of 16,226 m2, the required workforce is 124 people with the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) led by a director with a line and staff organization system. For the establishment and operation of the plant requires investment capital of IDR 1,444,506,592,227 and production costs of IDR 1,662,198,024,809. Based on the feasibility analysis, this plant has a BEP of 55.87%, ROI of 30.78%, POT for 3.25 years, RON of 51.30%, and IRR of 45.246%. From the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that the pre-design of phosphoric acid production plant from phosphate rock and sulfuric acid by wet process is feasible. | en_US |
