    Abstract
Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound that is widely used in the chemical industry and human life. Chlorine dioxide is widely used in the pulp and paper industry, cellulose bleaching, paper pulp, leather flour, textiles, water purification, water treatment, and wastewater disinfectants. The chlorine dioxide manufacturing plant is designed with a production capacity of 10,000 tons/year using sodium chlorate, sulfuric acid, and hydrogen peroxide as raw materials. In this plant proposal, there are four main processes, namely raw material preparation, reaction process, product purification process, and by-product processing. The products produced in this plant proposal are chlorine dioxide and sodium sulfate. The company in this pre-fabrication is planned in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) using a line and staff organizational structure. The number of workers in this factory is 133 people. The location of the plant is planned in Gresik Regency, East Java, Indonesia with a plant area of 13,330.8 m2. Water needs in this factory are supplied from Kali Mireng River with a total water demand of 2,641.6139 kg/hour. The results of the economic analysis on this factory proposal are as follows: 1. Total investment capital = IDR 191,799,005,476.4610 2. Production cost (per year) = IDR 118,348,036,771.0840 3. Sales proceeds (per year) = IDR 214,361,864,503.94 4. Net profit (per year) = IDR 63,904,195,442.3467 5. PM (> 5%) = 42.5510% 6. BEP (≤ 50%) = 43.6050 % 7. ROI (≥ 5%) = 33.3183% 8. POT = 3.01 years 9. RON = 56.5350 %. 10. IRR (< 6%) = 36.8763%. From the results of the analysis of economic aspects, it can be concluded that this chlorine dioxide manufacturing plant is feasible to establish.
