Water is a life necessity that is very important for the life of all living things. The need for clean water from year to year will continue to increase due to rapid population growth. The increase in population as well as the need for housing and other activities results in an increase in the supply of clean water. Sei Rampah Subdistrict is increasingly using clean water, so it is certain that for the next few years it will require even more clean water.
This study aims to analyze the need for clean water needed by the community of Sei Rampah District until 2042. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The data used include population data for the last 10 years, data on facilities in Sei Rampah Sub-district and data on the availability of clean water in 2022. The result of this study is that the projected population has increased in each period of the year. The total population starting from 2023 amounted to 73,714 people, 2024 amounted to 74,697 people, 2025 amounted to 75,693 people, 2026 amounted to 76,703 people, 2027 amounted to 77,726 people, 2028 amounted to 78,762 people, 2029 amounted to 79,812 people, 2030 amounted to 80,877 people, 2031 amounted to 81,955 people, 2032 amounted to 83. 048 people, 84,156 people in 2033, 85,278 people in 2034, 86,415 people in 2035, 87,568 people in 2036, 88,735 people in 2037, 89,919 people in 2038, 91,118 people in 2039, 92,333 people in 2041, 93,564 people in 2042, and 94,812 people in 2042.
Until 2042, domestic water demand is 87,789 L/s, non-domestic water demand is 6,99 L/s and water loss is 28,434 L/s, totaling 123,214 L/s. Using a maximum daily factor of 1.1 and a peak hour factor of 1.5 to the total domestic, non-domestic and water loss needs, the net water demand discharge value is 320,356 L/s. The production capacity of clean water sourced from the Belutu River is only 50 L / s so that the discharge of clean water demand for the service area with the influence of the maximum daily factor and peak hour factor of 320.356 L / s cannot be fulfilled.
