Perancangan Gedung Kemahasiswaan Universitas Sumatera Utara dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Kontemporer

Abstract

The design of the University of North Sumatera Student Affairs Building is a means for student institutions and the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the University of North Sumatra to hone student interests and talents, and become a place for students to interact with each other. The aim of this design is to create a center for student organization activities in the University of North Sumatra area. The design of the University of North Sumatra Student Affairs Building is located on USU Campus Road, Jl. Alma Mater, Padang Bulan, Kec. Medan Baru, Medan City, North Sumatra. This design uses an area of 4,538 m2. The design method used is an architectural design method with a Contemporary Architecture approach. The design of this Student Affairs Building meets functional, safety and comfort requirements in accordance with building standards. Apart from that, this design also refers to city regulations, this building is designed to have 4 floors with a building area of 2,923 m2. Vertical transportation is facilitated by stairs and lifts that can be used by people with disabilities. The main space consists of the Student Government Room (PEMA), 13 Student Activity Unit (UKM) rooms, a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 200 people, management room, and other supporting rooms. The design of the University of North Sumatra Student Affairs Building is expected to become a comfortable student activity center building, accommodating all activities.
