dc.description.abstract | This Design Report discusses the design process for the Student Activities Unit
building at the University of North Sumatra. The main objective of this design is to
create a building that optimally meets student needs and activities, as well as
making a positive contribution to the campus environment. The methods used
include field surveys, space requirements analysis, comparative studies, and the use
of architectural design software. Various aspects considered in this design include
space requirements for academic and non-academic activities, affordability of
facilities for people with disabilities, environmental sustainability, and building
aesthetics. The result of this design is a building consisting of an organizational
secretarial room, discussion room, group work room, lounge area, and other
supporting facilities. Apart from that, the design of this building also pays attention
to the use of renewable energy, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and
integration with green open spaces.
It is hoped that this design report can provide useful guidance for related parties
in building buildings that suit student needs and support the growth and
development of the University of North Sumatra as a whole. | en_US |
