Perancangan Rumah Sakit Tipe B di Berastagi dengan Penerapan Konsep Healing Environment
Designing a Type B Hospital in Berastagi With The Application of The Healing Environment Concept
Abstract
Hospitals are healthcare facilities that play an important role in patient healing. The
concept of a "healing environment" is chosen as an approach aimed at creating a physical,
social, and psychological environment that supports the healing process. This study aims to
design a type B hospital that adheres to the standards of the healing environment concept.
The research method used in this study is descriptive research, which presents, describes,
and explains primary and secondary data based on existing data and facts. Some important
factors that can support this concept include patient-friendly physical design, increased
access to natural light, use of calming colors, enhanced privacy, as well as provision of open
areas and green spaces within the hospital. It can be seen in the design of this hospital that
the site environment is very comfortable and there are many opportunities to view nature.
The building orientation is deliberately designed to face natural views and mountains to
make patients feel comfortable and less stressed. Additionally, the design of this building
also adapts to the contour of the site. The use of environmentally friendly materials and the
application of calming colors are also implemented in the design of this hospital.
