Pra Rancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Nitroselulosa dari Selulosa Jerami Padi dengan Proses Nitration Mixed Acid Kapasitas 3.700 Ton/Tahun (Tugas Khusus: Rancangan Keteknikan Detail Reaktor Nitrasi)
Preliminary Plant Design Nitrocellulose from Rice Straw Cellulose with Nitration Mixed Acid Capacity Of 3.700 Tons/Year (Special Task: Detailed Engineering Design of Nitration Reactor)
Abstract
Rice straw is a solid waste produced by rice plants during rice harvesting. Rice
straw has a high cellulose content, so it has the potential to be used as an economically
valuable product such as nitrocellulose. Nitrocellulose is the main ingredient for
making rocket fuel, namely propellant and also as a raw material for making plastics
or varnishes. The product is made using a nitration reaction by mixing sulfuric acid
and nitric acid with the help of water with or without stirring.
Preliminary Plant Design Nitrocellulose from rice straw cellulose with
nitration mixed acid process is planned to produce with a production capacity of 3700
tons/year and operate for 330 days a year. The location of the plant is planned in
Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The land area
required for the establishment of the plant is 16,855 m2. The required workforce is 177
people with the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff
organization system.
The results of the economic analysis of this Nitrocellulose Plant from Rice
Straw Cellulose are as follows:
Total Investment Capital = Rp. 615,602,031,608.60
Total Production Cost = Rp. 476,144,748,289.18
Sales Revenue = Rp. 680,362,724,586.60
Net Profit = Rp. 139,928,531,740.03
Profit Margin = 29.4%
Break Even Point = 33.19%
Return on Investment = 22.73%
Pay Out Time = 4.40 Years
Return on Network = 37.88%
Internal Rate of Return = 18.87%
Based on the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that the
"Nitrocellulose Plant from Rice Straw Cellulose" is feasible to establish.
