dc.description.abstract | Preparing a lecture schedule at a university is a crucial activity for the smooth running of the lecture process. Several parameters, such as courses, lecture days and hours, room capacity, and lecturer availability, must be prepared carefully to produce an optimal lecture schedule. Preparing an optimal schedule is often a problem at the beginning of each semester of study. The problems that arise involve the distribution of overcrowded courses at the same time, the distribution of overlapping rooms at the same time and student density that does not correspond to room capacity. Therefore, it is necessary to design a scheduling system that can produce an optimal schedule based on the provisions of each parameter. The scheduling system designed is based on Artificial Intelligence with Metaheuristic Methods and uses a Genetic Algorithm. In this method, randomly generating course schedules is carried out, analyzing fitness values, and carrying out Crossover and Mutation processes. The fitness value to achieve the optimal value is 1. In designing this system, an optimal course scheduling system has been designed where the fitness value is 1, which means there are no more schedule conflicts between rooms, lecturers and students. | en_US |
