Perbandingan Pengaruh Lapisan RTV Silikon Rubber dan Superhydrofobic Coating terhadap Resistivitas Permukaan Isolator Piring dan Distribusi Tegangan Isolator Rantai
Comparison of The Influence of RTV Silicone Rubber Layer and Superhydrophobic Coating on Surface Resistivity of Disc Insulators and Voltage Distribution of Chain Insulators
Abstract
Pollution and climate affect the level of leakage current on the surface of insulators. The use of protective coatings on insulators can minimize water vapor contamination on the surface, thus reducing leakage current. The aim of this research is to determine which coating, RTV Silicon or Superhydrofobic Coating, is better for the distribution of chain insulator voltage and surface resistivity of plate insulators under various conditions of humidity, pollution, dry conditions, and exposure to rain. This research was conducted through experimental methods in the laboratory. Based on the analysis conducted, it can be seen that the coating with Superhydrofobic Coating is better compared to RTV Silicon. In the voltage distribution test under clean conditions, the roughness factor value of insulators coated with Superhydrofobic Coating is 45.13%, while insulators coated with RTV Silicon are 51.31%. In the surface resistivity test under heavily polluted conditions and light rain exposure at the 10th minute, the surface resistivity value of insulators coated with Superhydrofobic Coating is 476.0MΩ, whereas on insulators coated with RTV Silicon, it is 21.4MΩ
