Design Perbandingan DVR, DSTATCOM dan UPQC-S terhadap Voltage Sag dan Voltage Swell (Studi Kasus : PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Sibolga Penyulang SB 02)
Comparative Design of DVR, DSTATCOM and UPQC-S against Voltage Sag and Voltage Swell (Case Study: PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Sibolga Extension SB 02)
Abstract
Electric power quality is one of the problems in the power system, caused by increasing nonlinear loads and short circuit disturbances. Short circuits often occur in power systems and generally cause voltage sags that can damage sensitive loads. Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) and Unified Power Quality Conditioner – Series Shunt (UPQC-S) can overcome Voltage Sag and Voltage Swell problems. Custom Power Devices are very useful in overcoming problems with electrical networks. In this research, voltage sag and voltage swell simulations were carried out due to 3-phase short circuit faults based on a load of 70% of the total load and the fault location point being 75% of the feeder length. From the results of research conducted with the case study PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Sibolga Penyulang SB 02, it shows that DVR has better performance compared to DSTATCOM and UPQC-S in handling voltage sag and voltage swell due to short circuit disturbances. The DVR succeeded in providing the largest voltage sag recovery in phase C, increasing the voltage from 0.2481 pu to 0.9776 pu. Apart from that, the DVR is also effective in overcoming voltage swell on phase A, reducing it from 1.724 pu to 0.9969 pu.
