Perancangan Galeri Seni Binjai dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Kontemporer

Abstract

An art gallery is an institution or space dedicated to exhibiting, promoting and appreciating works of art. This research aims to analyze space and facility requirements, aspects of user experience in exploring art, as a basis for analysis for the chosen designer theme, namely contemporary architecture by trying to combine unique and bold architectural elements to create an attractive and inspiring visual appearance. The application of contemporary architectural principles as an architectural approach helps create spaces with an innovative, creative and enjoyable atmosphere. The research method used is a qualitative method through data collection such as questionnaires and case studies. The design results apply the Contemporary Architecture theme by creating a space atmosphere that is innovative, creative and fun. It also allows for dynamic, flexible and expressive spaces, while still reflecting comfort that supports the activities of creative space actors. This approach is able to integrate natural elements or the surrounding environment into the design. This can include using natural materials, utilizing natural light, or even incorporating the surrounding landscape into the interior design. Contemporary design involves the use of modern materials such as glass, metal, concrete, and other material elements that provide a clean and futuristic look.
