Perancangan Pesantren Tahfidz Khusus Putri Berbasis Pendidikan Umum di Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Islam

Abstract

Education plays an important role in the progress of a nation, the high number of Muslim communities in Indonesia, including in Deli Serdang Regency, shows that the Islamic community in Indonesia plays an important role in the progress of a nation. To advance the nation's education, development is needed both in terms of physical and learning methods. One effective solution is to build a Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School based on General Education. This study aims to analyze the potential and problems of designing the Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School based on General Education, as well as developing solutions that are inclusive and environmentally friendly. The focus is on meeting the needs of users with varying abilities, while ensuring good accessibility and sustainability. The methods used include qualitative methods, observation, comparative studies, case studies, interviews, and document analysis. The design of this Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School specifically for girls implements an Islamic architectural theme which can be seen from the shape of the building which is curved like a crescent moon with the theme of a thousand months (Lailatul Qadar), the entire direction of the building faces towards the Qibla, using materials and forms of reliefs and carvings that gives an Islamic impression. There are 3 main principles in planning the design of this Tahfidz Islamic boarding school, namely Habluminallah (Relationship with Allah), Habluminannas (Relationship with humans), Habluminal'alamin (Relationship with nature).
