dc.description.abstract | Isolation and identification of flavonoid compound from wulung coconut fiber (Cocos nucifera L.) had been carried out through the maceration stage with methanol solvent. The methanol extract is concentrated, then the concentrated methanol extract is dissolved in ethyl acetate, concentrated and evaporated. The concentrated extract of ethyl acetate was dissolved with methanol and partition extracted with n-hexane. The methanol layer is then evaporated until all the methanol has evaporated. The concentrated methanol extract was then analyzed by TLC, then separated by column chromatography with silica gel as the stationary phase and chloroform: methanol (90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40) V/V as the mobile phase. The pure compound obtained was in the form of an amorphous solid with yellowish orange color, mass=6.4 mg with Rf=0.67 using chloroform eluent: methanol 80:20 V/V and Rf =0.55 using chloroform eluent:ethyl acetate 80:20 V/V. Based on UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis with methanol solvent, it shows that there are two absorption wavelengths (λmaxs) 304 nm and 267 nm. The FT-IR spectrum shows the presence of OH groups, C-H sp3, C=O ketone, C=C aromatic, C-O-C stretch and C-H sp2 bend out-of-plane at wave numbers 3429.43; 2922.16; 1691.57; 1583.56; 1236.37 and 1215.15; 833,25 dan 767,67 (cm-1). Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrum (1H-NMR) shows the presence of H-3, H-6, H-2' and H-6' protons. Spectroscopy interpretation data shows that the isolated compound are flavone. | en_US |
