The Influence of Leadership and Job Training on the Implementation of Knowledge Management at PT Central Proteina Prima
Abstract
Increasing competitive advantage in an organization requires knowledge
management on how an organization can effectively operate by applying its
knowledge assets. The success of implementing knowledge management is
influenced by leadership that motivates employees to participate in the knowledge
management process and job training that can enhance employees' ability to
manage and communicate knowledge. Despite the conducted job training, there are
still employees with knowledge ratings below the standard due to a lack of
understanding of their job and insufficient application of knowledge to achieve the
company's goals.
This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and job training on
the implementation of knowledge management at PT Central Proteina Prima. The
influence of leadership and job training will be analyzed partially and
simultaneously on knowledge management.
The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. The
population in this study is employees of PT Central Proteina Prima. With a sample
size of 69 respondents, the sampling approach used is non-probability sampling
with purposive sampling technique. Primary data were obtained through direct
questionnaire distribution, and secondary data were obtained through literature
study. The analysis methods used are validity test, reliability test, classical
assumption test, multiple linear regression, partial test, simultaneous test, and
determination test processed using SPSS Version 23.
The results of this study indicate that leadership has a positive and
significant effect on knowledge management with a t-value of 3.444 > 1.996, a
significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, and a regression coefficient value of 0.235. Job
Training also has a positive and significant effect on knowledge management with
a t-value of 5.035 > 1.996, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, and a regression
coefficient value of 0.376. In simultaneous testing, the variables of leadership and
job training have a simultaneous effect on knowledge management with a
magnitude of influence of 56.6%, while the remaining 43.4% is influenced by
factors outside this study.
