The Impact of Tourist Attraction and Destination Image on Revisit Intention After the Holding of the World F1 Powerboat Event in Lake Toba
Abstract
The development of tourism through international sports events such as F1 Powerboat, requires a deep understanding of the factors that influence the desire of tourists to return. In the context of sport tourism, Revisit Intention is a crucial indicator that reflects the level of success of an event.
This study aims to determine the effect of tourist attraction and destination image on revisit intention. The effect of tourist attraction and destination image will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on revisit intention after the F1 Powerboat world event on Lake Toba.
This research uses an associative quantitative approach with a focus on visitors to the F1 Powerboat event on Lake Toba. A sample of 100 respondents was selected through purposive sampling technique. Primary data was collected through direct and online questionnaires using Google Form, while secondary data was obtained from literature studies. Data analysis involved validity, reliability, classical assumption, multiple linear regression, partial test, simultaneous test, and determination test using SPSS software.
The results of this study indicate that Tourism Attraction has a significant effect on Revisit Intention, the tcount value is 2.847 > 1.984 with a sig value of 0.005 < 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient value of 0.359. Destination Image has a significant effect on Revisit Intention, the tcount value is 8.392 > 1.984 with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and has a positive coefficient value of 0.755. Simultaneous testing shows that the two variables affect simultaneously with an influence level of 83%, while the remaining 17% is influenced by factors outside this research model.
