Technology development is changing the overall behavior of modern
humans including consumers’ behavior that utilizes product based on efficiency
and benefits when engaging activities such as digital transactions. Increasing
users’ number of digital transaction systems is driving MSMEs’ partisipants in
Indonesia to use these systems massively. Bank Indonesia launched QRIS, expected
to support MSMEs in advancing businesses, cities, and the country’s economy.
However, MSMEs’ partisipants in Medan City are reluctant to use the tool due to
constraints namely administrative costs, errors, and being considered less efficient
and beneficial when compared to cash or bank transfers during transactions.
This study aims to examine the relationship between Transaction Efficiency
and Perceived Benefits with Usage Decision QRIS by MSMEs’ partisipants in
Medan. Researcher want to understand the influence of both factors on business
partisipants’ decision to use the tool either individually or simultaneously.
This research conducted using quantitative method with associative
approach. Primary data collected through distribution of questionnaires to 96
samples selected using purposive sampling techniques, while secondary data
obtained through references and previous researches. Data analyzed using
instrument with classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis,
and regression model testing.
The research results indicate that Transaction Efficiency and Perceived
Benefits have positive and significant influence on Usage Decision individually and
simultaneously with level of association and significance as 86.9% and 75%
respectively. Based on the regression model, it can be understood that the decision
to use QRIS won’t emerge if lacks efficiency and is considered not beneficial in
business activities.
