    Abstract
Indonesia in general does not have proper intervention for children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). North Sumatra Province is also classified as a province that is not ready to carry out its duties in facilitating people with ASD. Meanwhile, the prevalence of ASD in Indonesia is increasing and these children need adequate space to carry out early non-pharmacological intervention which is proven to reduce symptoms in adulthood. A number of therapy clinics for children with ASD have been spread across several areas in Medan City, the capital of North Sumatra province. Unfortunately, the therapy clinic uses a building that was converted from a residence or shop house into an ASD therapy clinic. Incompatibility of space requirements in these therapy clinics can have an impact on the ineffectiveness of early intervention. Therefore, there’s a need for a therapy center for children with ASD whose space requirements are adapted to the behavior of the person with ASD themselves. This project is planned to be designed on an area of ±2.6 ha located on Gagak Hitam Street, Sei Sikambing B Subdistrict, Medan Sunggal District, Medan City. The theme chosen is behavioral architecture which pays attention to the behavior of children with ASD and adapts their needs in architectural form to support the performance and effectiveness of therapy that will be carried out in this building and site.
