Evaluasi Saluran Drainase pada Jalan Gurilla Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan Kota Medan

Abstract

In this final project, what is evaluated is the condition of the drainage system on Gurilla Street , Medan Perjuangan District, Medan City. This final project was carried out because of flooding problems that occurred in the road area due to reduced absorption areas, high rainfall intensity, and insufficient channel dimensions. So an evaluation is carried out regarding the capacity of the drainage channels to find out whether the drainage channels are sufficient or not to accommodate rainwater discharge. This final assignment is an evaluation in nature where the research data is secondary and primary data, then after the data is collected, then analyze the hydrology and hydraulics data. In the results of the rainfall analysis used to calculate rainfall intensity is the Normal distribution, Log Normal distribution and Log Pearson III distribution rainfall value with a return period of 5 years. To find the flood discharge, the plan uses a rational method. Based on the results of a comparison of the existing capacity of the channel and the planned flood discharge, it is known that the existing channel cannot accommodate the planned flood discharge, causing water to overflow from the drainage channel and inundate the surrounding area. To overcome this, it is necessary to re-plan the channel dimensions.
