Basically, all human activities will cause changes to the surrounding
environment, both positive and negative. At first, environmental changes made by
human activities are still within nature's ability to recover naturally, but as time
goes by, human activities are getting longer. In the implementation of work in the
MedanBinjai Railway Overpass Development Project (JLKA) in Medan City, of
course, it has an impact on the surrounding environment, such as noise, air
pollution, soil pollution, causing congestion around the project and so on around
the project site.
In the planning stage and the implementation stage of the construction
project, it is necessary to analyze the negative impacts that can be caused to the
surrounding environment of the project so that efforts can be planned to be able to
reduce or even eliminate the negative impacts that occur and instead can increase
the positive impacts, so that it can increase the benefits of the construction
project. There are several steps taken in the data processing process, namely: a.
Descriptive Analysis Performed to summarize and explain the (quantitative) data
from the survey questionnaires that have been distributed to respondents. b. AHP
(Analitycal Hierarchy Process) The working principle of AHP is, simplifying an
unstructured, strategic and dynamic complex problem into its parts, and organizing
it in a hierarchy.. From the results of Descriptive Analysis and AHP, we will discuss
the 5 impacts that have the top rank overall and their relationship with each section.
The following variables are X8.2: Property, equipment and facilities (quickly dirty,
damaged, rusted), X7: How much influence the implementation of this project has
on the generation of air pollution, X3.1: Damage to Road Construction, X3.2: Road
fouling, X4.2: Safety of road users.
