This thesis explores the application of the neo-vernacular architecture concept in designing a resort in Pangururan. The primary objective of this research is to uncover the potential of neo-vernacular architecture in creating a resort that not only fulfills functional needs and contemporary aesthetics but also considers the local cultural heritage. The research methodology involves field surveys and literature analysis. The research findings indicate that the neo-vernacular approach provides an opportunity to integrate traditional Batak elements into modern resort designs. Traditional forms, materials, and spatial patterns can be creatively adapted without sacrificing comfort and functionality. The resulting resort depicts a harmonization between local cultural values and contemporary needs in the tourism industry. This study provides insights for resort designers and developers in preserving regional cultural identity through innovative architectural approaches.en_US
