The Effect of The Workload and Organizational Commitment on The Turnover Intention for Millennial Generation Employees at Medan Petisah Sub-District
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyse the effect of workload and
organizational commitment on the turnover intention of millennial generation
employees at Medan Petisah sub-district. This research is a type of associative
research. The population of this study amounted to 97 respondents. The analysis
technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate
that simultaneously workload and organizational commitment have a significant
effect on the turnover intention of millennial generation employees at Medan
Petisah sub-district. The partial test shows that workload commitment each have a
positive and significant effect on turnover intention and organizational commitment
each have a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. The Adjusted R
Square value is 0,937 which means 93,7 % of the employee’s turnover intention
can be explained by the variables Workload and organizational commitment while
the remaining 6,3 % can be explained by other variables not examined by other
variables not examined in this study.
