The management of medicine inventory is a crucial aspect in the healthcare sector to ensure the availability of medications. In this context, technology and decision-making algorithms can be one of the solutions to address challenges such as medicine shortages. One of the methods that can be applied is the C5.0 algorithm, which is an evolution of the decision tree. This research involves collecting medicine inventory data from Puskesmas Pangkatan from previous periods. The aim is to understand the use of the C5.0 algorithm in determining the status of medicine inventory. This method will be used to examine patterns in the medicine data, including units, initial stock, final stock, the status of available medicine inventory, and the status of unavailable medicine inventory. Through data analysis, the C5.0 algorithm is expected to provide results regarding the status of medicine inventory, indicating whether it is available or unavailable. The test results from the designed system compare the test data from the system’s results with 144 test data points and yield an accuracy rate of 98.61%, proving that this system can correctly determine about 98.61% of the given data. The obtained accuracy results demonstrate that the C5.0 algorithm can provide good results in determining the status of medicine inventory. Therefore, a system using the C5.0 algorithm can be a viable solution to address medicine stock shortages, as it can effectively determine the status of medicine inventory. If the medicine inventory status is unavailable, then that medicine can be prioritized for restocking over those with an available inventory status.
