    Abstract
Lighting is one of the physical environmental factors in work safety. Increasing work effectiveness, work efficiency and worker safety is assessed by accuracy and thoroughness in observing work. PT United Tractors Tbk Medan branch is a heavy equipment industry which has main areas for operational activities, namely administration, warehouse and workshop bay. The average lighting in the administration area, warehouse and workshop space is 97 lux, 90 lux and 100 lux. The results of these measurements show that the lighting in the operational area does not meet the lighting standards in the Republic of Indonesia Labor Regulation Number 5 of 2018 concerning Occupational Safety and Health in the Work Environment. These regulations regulate lighting standards in administrative areas, warehouses and workshop rooms at 300 lux, 200 lux and 300 lux. This study aims to analyze the effect of lighting levels on workers' eye fatigue. Measurement results using the Flicker Fusion tool showed that 22 out of 30 workers experienced eye fatigue. Eyestrain was experienced by 10 out of 14 administrative workers, 4 out of 5 warehouse workers, and 8 out of 11 workshop workers. Standard lighting is carried out by calculating the required lighting level. The results of the analysis provide recommendations for adding a table lamp with a power of 5.9 watts on each administration desk, a headlamp with a power of 50 watts in the workshop room, and 3 lamps with a power of 4 watts on each warehouse shelf so that it can provide lighting that meets standards
