Perancangan Kebijakan Persediaan Barang Dagang Menggunakan Metode Continuous Review System dan Periodic Review System di UD.Toko Laris

Abstract

UD. Toko Laris is a retail trading business engaged in the sale of household appliances, located in the city of Medan. UD. Toko Laris often experiences excess inventory (overstock), inventory shortage (understock), and outof- stock situations. To overcome this problem, inventory control is carried out using the probabilistic continuous review system and periodic review system methods. To support ease in decision-making, a decision support system is designed in Microsoft Excel software with Visual Basic for Application (VBA). Based on the calculation results, there are 16 types of merchandise included in the AF category (Category A and Fast moving). The total inventory cost of the 16 merchandise items controlled by the probabilistic continuous review system inventory control method is Rp 39,003,000 and with the periodic review system method is Rp 39,031,000. Meanwhile, the actual inventory cost of the company for the 16 merchandise items is Rp 42,981,000. The proposed probabilistic inventory control method chosen is the continuous review system method. By using the continuous review system inventory control method, there is a total inventory cost savings of 9.26%, which is Rp. 3,978,542
