    Abstract
This article is entitled The Involvement of Women in Organizing District Elections in Medan City. The research aims to find out how women are involved in becoming sub-district election organizers. such as knowing the process of becoming a District Election Organizer, what factors support women becoming organizers and the impact of Law No. 7 of 2022 by paying attention to the composition of women at a minimum of 30%. The research method used is a qualitative method which aims to obtain data regarding the involvement of women as Medan City District Election Organizers. Apart from that, this research method is expected to describe the actual situation in the field, with the following collection techniques: Observation; Depth Interview; Documentation; field notes and literature study. The results of the research show that the involvement of women in the Medan City District Election Organizer (PPK) for the 2024 General Election period has decreased in number compared to the 2019 Election Period. In fact, Law No. 7 of 2022 states that paying attention to the composition of 30% female representation is just an effort to increase women's participation and there is no obligation for women to be elected as sub-district election organizers. The reasons why women want to be involved as District Election Organizers are economic, socio-cultural and psychological factors. Cultural factors also influence women in making decisions about women being involved in becoming District Election Organizers in Medan City including: 1) Cognitive, this component is related to a person's knowledge about politics, (2) Affective, this component is related to a person's feelings towards the political system, the role of the actors and (3) Evaluative, decisions and presumptions about political objects which typically involve a combination of standard values and criteria with information and feelings. Organizers also have various forms of capital to be selected as District Organizers which include: (1) economic capital as a form of resource which is a means of production and financial means, (2) cultural capital as an intellectual qualification that can be produced through formal education as well as family inheritance, for example the ability to write, manner of demeanor and way of socializing which play a role in determining social position, (3) social capital as a network of relationships as a resource for determining social position, (4) symbolic capital as capital that produces symbolic power and symbolic power. often need symbols of power such as positions, luxury cars, titles, status and famous families. The author hopes for further discussion from future researchers as an effort to increase the quality and number of women organizers in the 2029 general elections.
