Perancangan dan Perbaikan Microwave Oven dengan Pendekatan Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan Axiomatic Design (AD)
Design and Improvement of Microwave Oven with Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Axiomatic Design (AD) Approach
Abstract
Electronic devices cannot be separated in everyday life so that in their use they
often experience damage. One of the electronic devices often damaged is a
microwave oven. A microwave oven is a rectangular metal box with a hole or
several holes through which microwave energy is channeled into the oven cavity.
The problem often occurs is the lack of temperature in the oven cavity, so it is
necessary to design microwave oven product improvements using the Quality
Function Deployment Phase I and II methods to obtain technical characteristics
and critical parts of the product based on consumer voices and Axiomatic Design
to obtain design parameters according to the functional needs of the product. The
results of Quality Function Deployment Phase I obtained priority technical
characteristics namely cooking performance and food quality while in Quality
Function Deployment Phase II obtained priority critical parts namely user
interface, internal sensors, and door lock system which were converted into
functional requirements as input to Axiomatic Design. In Axiomatic Design, it is
found that there are 3 design parameters included in the uncoupled design category
and 6 design parameters included in the decoupled design category. Uncoupled
design and uncoupled design are design categories that fulfill the first axiom of
Axiomatic Design, namely the independence axiom. The new design has decreased
in terms of information content by 0.4995 bits compared to the actual design, so the
new design has improved compared to the actual design
