    Abstract
A livestock feed mixer is an important device in the livestock industry used to mix various feed ingredients, including grains, concentrates, vitamins, minerals, and other additives, resulting in a balanced and high-quality feed mixture. This research aims to redesign the livestock feed mixer with identified problems involving material spillage during the mixing process, disrupting mixing efficiency when using maximum volume. The material balance calculations show the feed that is fed in. Additionally, users' difficulty in lifting and removing materials is caused by the height of the container for the ingredients, leading to physical complaints in the shoulders, arms, and back of users with a high risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the machine design to enhance ergonomics and user comfort. Consequently, Kansei Engineering is applied through interviews and surveys of users to capture their emotional responses and specific needs, which are then analyzed with Quality Function Deployment to translate them into redesign parameters including dimensional modifications, materials, mixing process, anthropometric evaluation to obtain user body measurements in the design process, and Design for Usability considerations to produce an improved livestock feed mixer that is more efficient in terms of mixing and usage as well as ergonomic and provides a comfortable and safe user experience. The research also demonstrates the benefits of integrating Kansei Engineering and Design for Usability methods in redesigning superior products from both technical and consumer satisfaction perspectives.
