dc.description.abstractIn order to increase the stability of the power system, an effective technology is needed to optimize the stability of the system during operation. One of the technologies to increase system stability today is the Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS). This study plans the placement of UPFC locations on a 30 bus system and simulates a power flow system using an application from MATLAB. The mathematical equation for each parameter on each bus is formulated into a computer programming language with logicfuzzy includes a choice of the magnitude of the loss value and the voltage profile. The highest Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) Placement Index is between bus 1 to bus 2 with load index in 0.4020 and reactive power compensation of 10.4%. In terms of economic dispatch after obtaining a total fuel price of around Rp. 913,89209/hour. Validate the results usinglagrange multiple test shows that the test results and data validation results showstd. error of the estimate around US$ 2.49 or around Rp.38,847.24, so that in this test it shows the level of inaccuracy of fuel costs at loading of only Rp.38,847.24.en_US
