Design and Implementation of Microstrip Antenna Rectangular Patches on Temperature Telematry Systemsenvironment with 2.4 Ghz Frequency
Abstract
Climate change is a change in the Earth's atmospheric conditions including changes in temperature and rainfall distribution that have a broad impact on the surrounding area, these changes are not temporary, but long-term. This research discusses the design and implementation of microstrip antennas in environmental temperature telematry by designing a rectangular microstrip patch antenna with a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Simulation and measurement of antenna specifications needed in the temperature telematry system and testing of the telematry system using the designed microstrip antenna. The parameters analyzed from the system are antenna parameters, telematry system accuracy, and telematry system range. This system uses Arduino Uno as a place to process temperature data taken from the DHT22 sensor and uses radio frequency as a data medium to a PC (Personal Computer). For data transmission, a 2.4 GHz module is used and a microstrip antenna is placed in the transmitter circuit and in the receiver circuit using a 2.4 GHz module. The results of testing the designed tool show that the designed tool is able to get the range between the transmitter and receiver which is a maximum of 10 meters and without obstruction between the transmitter and receiver
