    Abstract
This research is related to the manufacture of supercapacitor electrodes using matoa leaf material and NaOH activators. Making samples begins by drying matoa leaves then the burning process is carried out with temperature variations of 200℃, 300℃ and 400℃.. Then the carbon is crushed and sifted with a 100 mesh sieve then activated with NaOH solution. This study used pre-carbonization, carbonization and activation methods. The result of SEM-EDX obtained irregular particle size. The results of XRD analysis obtained the structure formed is amorphous. The results of XRD analysis obtained that the formed structure was amorphous and had functional groups O-H, C-C and C≡C. Based on the CV curve, it can be seen that S3 undergoes a better redox reaction with the highest specific capacitance value of 14,42 F/g in an area of 0,0321 VA. GCD results obtained the highest density energy of 0,49 Wh / kg and the highest power density value at a value of 25.200 W / kg and the highest electrical conductivity value with a value of 9×10-5 S / cm. Based on the above results, temperature variations greatly affect the shape, crystal structure and electrical properties of activated carbon matoa leaves. S3 activated carbon with a temperature variation of 400°C has the best electron transfer ability with the greatest conductivity value so that S3 can be applied as an electrode for supercapacitors.
