dc.description.abstractThe use of air conditioning machines is increasingly being used. One of the cooling machines that is widely used in everyday life is the refrigerator. Solar energy is a type of clean energy which is an important source of renewable energy. Energy in the form of light and heat from the sun is utilized using solar photovoltaic technology. The aim of this design is to determine the design of a vapor compression cycle that uses solar energy, with a water cooling load of 6,5 liters, the temperature achieved is -5 ⁰C for 8 hours. In this design, 75 W compressor power, 6U condenser, 100 Ah battery, 30 A solar charge controller, refrigerator volume 47 liters, power produced by module 891.34 Wh, efficiency of photovoltaic solar panels is 11.16%en_US
