dc.description.abstractPlastic plays a very important role in everyday life, it is really needed by the community to be used as packaging material for food and drinks which is strong, light and easy to carry or use. The type of plastic that is often used is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic. PET plastic is very often used as beverage bottles. Because there are many advantages that plastic has, this has resulted in the increasing use of PET plastic, resulting in excessive use of plastic which has a bad impact on the environment because as a result of the large use of plastic, waste is created that is difficult to decompose naturally, which can pollute or damage the environment. . Filament is one of the materials used in making a 3D product. 3D printer (additive manufacturing) is a new innovative tool in the manufacturing industry which has a process of making three-dimensional solid objects from a design digitally and making them into 3D shapes. However, in this case, with the increase in PET plastic bottle waste, it will be used to make filament. PET type plastic bottles are used to make filament because they have easy-melting and elastic properties so they are easy to reshape into raw material for printing 3D objects using a 3D printer machine. The pultrusion method is used to produce filament because it can produce a more uniform filament diameter compared to extrusion. The working principle of this tool is to use a nozzle with special holes to allow the pultrusion process of filaments with a diameter of 1.75 mm. The machine for recycling used bottles into filament is controlled using an Arduino Uno device which functions as a sensor controller for the rotational speed of the filament winding and heating temperature settings.
