    Abstract
    Farmer Group Dynamics is a process and method that aims to increase the value of cooperation and quality of work in farmer groups. Farmer Group dynamics are influenced by internal and external factors, such as group goals, group structure, task functions, group coaching and development, group cohesiveness, group atmosphere, group pressure, and group success. Farmer group dynamics are also related to the independence of farmer group members in farming. The independence of farmer group members is influenced by internal and external factors, such as group goals, group structure, task functions, group coaching and development, group cohesiveness, group atmosphere, group pressure, and group success. The aim of this research was to find out the dynamics of farmer groups in the study of social welfare in Panombean Huta Urung. This research was conducted in Panombena Huta Urung village, Jorlang Hataran sub-district. The key informant in this research is the agricultural extension coordinator, the main informants in this research are group members including the chairman and members, and additional informants are community leaders and collectors. Data collection techniques used in research are observation and interviews. The data obtained in the field was then analyzed by researchers who described using a qualitative approach. The results of this research show that groups can be influenced by changes in evolution and ways of organizing, especially those related to work, which can influence the social welfare of farmer groups through the independence of farmer group members both internally which influences the independence of farmer group members including age, level of formal education, cosmopolitanism, and length of business and external factors that influence the independence of farmer group members include the intensity of counseling, the availability of economic capital assistance, social capital, physical capital, marketing capital, the role of companions, and the availability of information.
