Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), and Aluminum (Al) are metal materials commonly found in the alloy industry where iron is the main source of structural materials in the world because it is tough, strong, and most importantly cheap. This research experiments on metal alloys with variations in the composition of the Fe and Cu ratios 60Fe-40Cu-0.5Al, 70Fe-30Cu-0.5Al, 80Fe-20Cu-0.5Al, and 90Fe-10Cu-0.5Al. The alloy was synthesized using powder metallurgy with a compaction pressure of 250 MPa then sintered at a temperature of 1000°C for 1 hour. Next, the samples were tested for density, Vickers hardness, compressive strength, wear and microstructure. The highest density value in the Fe/Cu 60/40 ratio specimen is 5,4989 gr/cm3, and the lowest density value in the Fe/Cu 90/10 ratio is 5,1257 gr/cm3. The lowest hardness test results occurred at the 60Fe/40Cu composition, namely 63.5 VHN, while the highest average hardness value was at the point with the 90Fe/10Cu composition, namely 86.8 VHN. Highest average compressive strength value was found in the 60Fe/40Cu composition, namely 493.4 MPa and the lowest was in the 90Fe/10Cu composition, namely 428.5 MPa. The highest wear value is found in the 60Fe/40Cu composition, namely 0,205 × 10−3 mm3/Nmm and the lowest is in the 90Fe/10Cu composition, namely 0,088 × 10−3 mm3/Nmm. Microstructural testing shows that as the Fe content increases, the porosity in the Fe/Cu-0.5Al alloy becomes smaller, which has quite an effect on the strength of the materialen_US
