    Abstract
In Indonesia, most of the population relies on refillable drinking water as a daily necessity. However, the process of filling gallons is still carried out with the help of operators. Manual filling requires the operator to closely monitor the water level in the gallon while filling is in progress. Errors when monitoring the filling can result in water spilling on the gallon because the button is pressed for too long or the gallon is not full because the button is pressed quickly. This PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based automatic gallon filling design is an innovative solution to improve efficiency and accuracy in gallon filling and reduce human labor. This research aims to make the production of gallon beverages automatic and easier. The control of this design is carried out through a PLC which is programmed using CX-Programmer software, Photoelectric sensor as an input reader for the existence of gallons, pneumatic as a gallon holder, water pump as a transfer of water into gallons, water pump valves function to flow and inhibit the rate of water and conveyors as a means of transporting gallons in the filling process to the next process. The results of this design are known that the average automatic gallon filling time is 44.82 seconds. In Photoelectric sensor testing, the sensor cannot work at 10% - 20% sensor sensitivity and the sensor can work at 30% - 100% sensor sensitivity. The power required for the automatic gallon filling process is 613.59 Watts and in testing the system as a whole it yields a 100% success percentage
