dc.description.abstract | A pallet is a transportation facility in the form of a flat box for the base of an item or a coaster. Wooden pallets are trendy in the industry, but being easily damaged by termites, water, or weather. A Composite Core Paper (CCP)-based pallet has been developed as an alternative. This research aims to simulate the bending strength of CCP-based pallets using Ansys software. Bending strength simulations were performed on five pallet designs by varying in CCP thickness. Bending strength analysis was carried out based on ASTM C393, with three loading variations. The simulation results show that increasing the load cause the fluctuation of deformation in designs A, B, C, and E, while in design D, they tend to decrease. The most significant deformation occurred on the 5 mm thickness design A pallet, namely 284,3 mm, while the slightest deformation occurred on the 10 mm design D pallet, 53,971 mm | en_US |
