Analisa Performansi dan Optimasi pada Burner Biomassa Berbahan Bakar Cangkang Kelapa Sawit
Performance Analysis and Optimization of Biomass Burner Fueled with Palm Palm Shall
Abstract
Nowadays, due to global population growth and industrial and social
developments, energy demand is rising worldwide. Most of the world's energy
demand is still provided through power plants powered by fossil fuels. One of the
most important energy solutions is biomass. Biomass is a renewable energy source
and the right bio-based product because of its natural origin, carbon stability, low
cost, non-toxicity, and abundant supply. In connection with the literature sources
and previous research that the author has read, that the use of renewable energy
sources biomass palm coconut shell realised against this burner can be a good
solution to generate fire and perform perfect combustion of incinerators in an effort
to treat waste as a renewed energy source. The purpose of this study is: 1. To
determine the length of the flame tongue 2. To optimize the combustion of the
biomass of the palm coconut shell on the Burner. The study was carried out using
the Performance Test Method where the Blower will provide air supply for the
burning of the pallet cocoa shell where the flamme tongue will be used to burn
garbage or waste at variable air speeds of 7.33 m/s, 7.67m/s and 6.94 m/S. Fuel
capacity is 1kg, 2kg and 3kg as well as HHV (18337.8028 Kj/Kg), LHV (1833.8028
kj/kg) thus producing the highest efficiency of 88.2%
