This research is an attempt to develop an effective game barter system in the context of “From The Downtown”, a top-down survival shooter game. In this game, players must survive undead attacks while exploring a disaster-stricken city environment. In addition. The approach taken in this research strongly emphasizes the importance of a strong mathematical foundation, especially the concept of linear equations, in developing the economic system in the game. By using linear equations as a foundation, this system can ensure that the exchange of goods between players takes place in a fair and value- balanced manner. This creates a fairer game experience and ensures that players feel involved in the bartering process. In addition, this research also aims to contribute to the development of an engaging and effective learning-based approach to teaching basic mathematics. By introducing the concept of linear equations through the gaming experience, it is hoped that players can not only deepen their understanding of mathematics, but also feel the satisfaction of practicing the concept in the context of a fun game. It is hoped that this research will help improve the gaming experience by integrating fun, educational elements. Through the use of linear equations in the barter system, players can feel the direct impact of their decisions in the game and learn how to make smart decisions based on evaluating the value of the goods they have. Thus, the game “From The Downtown” is not only a thrilling challenge but also an opportunity to learn and develop important math skills.
