dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the description of the meaning of ngerunggu in the traditional Death ceremony in Karo culture. The writing method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative, to find and collect data such as about the meaning of ngerunggu in the death ceremony in Karo culture, informants with closed interviews, and reading books, even searching the internet or journals. The theory used in Karo culture is Masri Singarimbun of anthropology. The problem that will be researched is what things will be discussed to the traditional death ceremony in Karo culture and will draw conclusions on the implementation of the traditional ceremony. That way, this traditional Death ceremony is one of the traditions that has a structure of stages that will be held in the customs of their culture is from the ngerunggu.en_US
