Analisis Alur Pelayaran dalam Perencanaan Pembangunan Integrated Terminal Tapanuli
Analysis of Shipping Lane in Planning the Development of the Tapanuli Tengah Integrated Terminal
Abstract
The port is one of the maritime transportation networks. In Central Tapanuli
Tengah, it is planned to build an LNG Port with Integrated Terminal facilities
where the largest ship that will dock is an oil ship with a capacity of 8000 DWT.
There are 2 planned development locations, namely Kalangan and Labuan Angin.
Based on this, an analysis of shipping lanes and dredging volume is needed. The
purpose of this study is to plan safe shipping lanes and calculate the volume of
dredging required. In planning shipping lanes, data on ship characteristics,
bathymetry, waves, tides, wind speed and current speed are needed. The method
used to calculate the dredging volume is the rectangular method. From the planning
results, it was found that the width of the single lane channel was 83.3 – 85 m and
the width of the two lane channel was 188.7 – 192.1 m with a channel depth based
on ship characteristics of 10.23 m. Based on data on the depth and design of
shipping channels, dredging is required with the smallest dredging volume of all
shipping channel designs of 453,656.085 m3 at the planned location in Labuan
Angin
