One requirement for a good grounding system is to have the smallest possible grounding resistance value, so that the excess current that occurs during electrical system disturbances can quickly flow into the ground. Efforts to improve grounding resistance in locations with high soil resistance can be done by adding additive substances around the grounding electrode. Soil moisture is also one of the factors that affect grounding resistance. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding biochar and KCl to soil on grounding resistance with variations in soil moisture. Resistance measurements were conducted using the three-point method using the Earthtester Kyoritsu model kew 4105A. The addition of biochar, KCl, and original soil compositions varied at a depth of 1 m with variations in soil moisture. The best resistance value obtained in this study was a composition of 90% kg biochar and 10% kg KCl salt at 85% RH soil moisture, amounting to 2 ohms, with a resistance decrease of 90.83%en_US
