    Abstract
    The metalworking technolog,t at the presefit time is developing very rapidly, one of whiclt is powder metallurgt Howeveri products resultingfram the powder metallurgt process still exhibit high levels of ptrosity- One process thot con be employed to reduce porosity and increase the density of powder metallurgt materials is through the powder forging (P/F) procass. However, forging machines that specifically designed for the (PiF) process, especially within wziversity environments, are still rarely encountered- Therefore, this research is conducted to design aforging machine specializedfor (P/F) proctice on a university laboratory scale, utilizingpneurnatic system and equipped with adjustable weights. Subsequently, the designed outcome will be simulated. The design outcome reveals that this machine utilizes a prueumatic systemwith an actuator diameter of 63 mm and a stroke kngth of 250 mm, equipped with adjustable weights. The function of the adjustable weights on this clevice is lo increase the impact load generated by theforging machine. The increase in impact load is then anolyzed using ons)ry software to determine its effict on the increase in specimen density. Based on the simulotion results conducted in this study, it wasfound that the specimen density can increase. as the varied load increases. This prrwes that the designed forging machine can enhance the densily of powder metallurgt specimens
