    Abstract
The CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) system channels power from the engine to the rear wheels via a v belt that connects the drive pulley (primary pulley), and utilizes the centrifugal force generated in the component parts. In the power transmission mechanism, the crankshaft and primary pulley (drive pulley) are connected directly and the secondary pulley (drive pulley) is rotated by a drive belt (v belt). The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of variations in the angle of the primary pul ley on the performance of a 125 cc Vario motorbike, and the effect of variations in the degree of the primary pulley of 13,5 o , 14 o and 15 o on the performance of the CVT. The 13,5 o C variation produces the lowest maximum torque and power with values of 8,3 2 Nm and 7,27 HP. This variation produces fluctuating torque and power compared to other variations. The 14 o C variation produces maximum torque and power with values of 8,95 Nm and 8,05 HP. This variation produces the most stable torque and power compare d to other variations. Meanwhile, the 15 o C (standard) variation produces the second highest maximum torque and power with values of 9,15 Nm and 8,45 HP. This variation also produces peak acceleration, namely a value of 16,16 kph/s with a time of 5,5 s. T he difference in pulley angles greatly influences the value of the pulley ratio. Varying the pulley angle of 15 o C produces a peak ratio of 2,03, while varying the pulley angle of 14 o C and 13,5 o C produces a peak ratio of 2,23 and 2,36.
