dc.description.abstract | Study of ethnobotany of medicinal plants in the Toba Batak community in Sitiotio District, Samosir Regancy, North Sumatera aims to determine the ultilization, perception, types of medicinal plants and the degradation of medicinal plant knowledge in the community in Sitiotio District, Samosir North Sumatera this research location covers 3 villanges namely Sabulan,Tamba Dolok and Janji Raja. In this study, this was an open-ended interview. The method used and a questionnaire. Open ended interviews were conducted openly and in depth to key informants (Healers) of medicinal plants to find out the use of medicinal plants, while questionnaire were distributed to the public purposively to find out social, economic, condotions dan kowledge about medicinal plants. The result of the study showed that as many as 82,2% ot the people in Sitiotio District believe in traditional medicine. The most common health problems suffered by the community in Sitiotio District are fever, abdominal pain, epilepsy, and cold. Based on the identification, it was found taht there were 60 types of medicinal plants belonging to 31 families. The highest ICS (index of cultural significance) calculation results, namely Allium Sativum L. has a value of 100. The parts moest often used as medicine are leaves and steams. The highest degradation of community knowledge in Sitiotio District is in the age group C to A as much as 55,35% processing plants into ingridients is by boiling, spraying, drinking, smearing, or eating directly. | en_US |
